Academic interests and works
Basically his interest is in superfluid helium heat transfer. The heat transfer problem in a magnet cooled by subcooled superfluid helium was his major work. He extended his work into a dilution refrigerator and developed several type of dilution refrigerator such as a plastic one which is used in an extremely high field pulse magnet, a long tail one for high field magnet and a liquid helium free one using cryocooler. During the time at Toyo Sanso Co., Ltd. – Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corp., many cryogenic equipment and systems were developed for academic and industrial research. Recently his interest is in HTS application cooling system. Neon turbo Brayton refrigerator for large HTS applications was developed under his leadership at Taiyo Nippon Sanso.
He has about 40 patents and more than 70 papers in cryogenics.
